I don’t believe in luck.
I don’t believe in luck, bad or otherwise. Things just happen. It’s tempting to attribute meanings and motivations to completely random occurrences, but … things just happen.
However, lately it’s starting to seem like an inordinate amount of bad things happen to me. Nothing major, mind you; just tiny, irritating things. Something is constantly going awry – just often enough and just wrong enough to make it feel like I really must have crossed a black cat’s path, or broken a mirror, or any one of those millions of other things that are supposed to cause bad luck.
So this blog is my way of letting off steam. A way to rant about all the stupid, meaningless coincidences that make the world just that bit more irritating to live in. Apparently, some people find the fact that these things happen to me funny. So buckle up, kids, and enjoy your schadenfreude…
